Kamath not for students assessing teachers

Prasar Bharathi Chairman M V Kamath has called upon teachers to inculcate humane approach in teaching.

Kamath was speaking after releasing the book ‘Quality in Service Sector and Managerial Challenges,’ edited by Dr K V M Varamballi and Prof M M Shanbhag. Calling upon teachers to follow ‘Vidya Dharma’ Kamath said, “You should not teach but share knowledge with them”.

Kamath opposed the practise of students assessing their teachers, as in America, and said, “we should never encourage the practise of students assessing their teachers; instead teach our students to respect their teachers.”
