Noble gesture comes as boon to children

Bangalore: Continuing their noble mission of serving the society, the Rotary Club recently distributed free bags to children of the school run by the CMC on J T Road.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Apparao Pai noted that many government schools across the state are deprived of basic facilities. Many of them face the problem of lack of teachers. The government’s efforts towards solving this problem have not borne fruit. In these circumstances, social organisations must come forward to help overcome problems.

With 132 branches of the Rotary in the State, more than 17 members are working towards providing such schools with the basic facilities, said Mr Rao.

Madikeri Rotary Club President Medappa expressed his gratitude on behalf of the organisation, towards Dr Manohar Patkar and Dr Jayalakshmi Patkar for their kind gesture in providing bags for the school kids.

Dr Ravi Appaji, Secretary Ganapati, Suresh Chengappa and others were present on the dias.
